Mornings above the cloud line
Mist arrives before the morning does and burns off slowly. The terrace faces the valley, so the whole thing happens in front of you without going anywhere.

The tea and the trees
Plantations run right up to the property, with older trees standing through them. The light changes hour to hour and never quite repeats.

A day out to the water
Anayirankal Dam holds its reservoir between forested ridges — best at either end of the day, mist on the surface at dawn and silhouettes at dusk.

An afternoon that goes nowhere
The pool sits against the hillside below the building. Some days that is the entire itinerary, and it is a good one.
